Add upload capability
I would like to see PE add upload capability.
I would like to be able to review test questions with my students but don't want to have to retype all questions.
If an upload format could be established it would be great to cut and paste from an existing multiple choice test into PE for presentation of questions to a class.
Maybe the format could be question/first answer/second answer/third answer etc.
1 voteGreat idea! This was such a great idea (and frequent request), that we’ve already taken care of it.

Bulk Poll Management
Treating poll groups as "polls," and polls as "poll questions" would make my life easier. The ability to do bulk management, e.g., start/stop/clear results/get summary data on a whole group of polls would streamline management of polling.
In other words, what the system calls "polls" are in practice "poll questions," and what the system calls "groups" are in practice "polls" with multiple questions. We are piloting this in a classroom for test preparation and review. An instructor wants to run through a series of 10 questions in class, download the summary results (which are more useful than the detailed results),…

Crowdsourcing Business Idea
I am a IT and telecoms architect pretty well versed in the Everything 2.0 paradigm and have a crowdsourcing business idea around polling and market research. Are you open for a conversation? How does one get in touch?

Need way to stop automatic reordering, when clicking on a text response in a text wall
the text bubbles keep reordering randomly as I click on a single response and discuss it with class. I'd like to pause when clicked on and then resume re-ordering when I click on the same text bubble again or close it.
It is working when set to 'Spotlight", isn't currently working when set to text wall / text cluster.
2 votesThanks for your suggestion! To focus on one response at a time, we recommend using a Q&A activity. You can spotlight each submission even while others are coming in.
Alternatively, you can lock your open-ended activity to prevent new responses while you discuss one specific submission.

Use QR Codes
Hi
An idea to get users to easily browse to the relevant private link for a specific poll is to make a QR code display as part of the poll instructions. That way the the user can easily take a picture of the slide and get the direct link on their phone.
Then they also don't need to enter a complicated code.
For example see here:
Just an idea.

More options for runs of polls
I'd like to use the same poll multiple times during the semester, but I have 3 sections. It is a poll asking students how they are doing - sort of taking the pulse on the class.
I want each class to see their own section's results live, but then look at the data in aggregate the next day.
Right now, I run the poll, click "clear results" etc.
When I look at the report, I select "all runs" to get the whole day's worth of data. Here's the problem: when I do this again, I still have all the results…
2 votesYeah! Whenever you clear or archive multiple poll questions at once you can name your run. This will create a Shared Run which you can then report upon. You can then run reports on these shared runs for a specific class OR over All Runs to see how everyone has done.
You can see more details for exactly how to do this here: https://polleverywhere.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/764091

PPT API issue causing decks with polls + animations/builds to freeze in presentation mode
Develop a workaround for the MSFT PPT API issue whereby decks that have polls & slides with animations/builds often get stuck in presentation mode.

Create a new poll from open ended responses
How can I select the best responses from one poll and then ask my students which response was the best?
2 votesHi Chris,
Try out the new Discourse poll format found here: http://www.polleverywhere.com/blog/introducing-qna-brainstorm-alternative-google-moderator/
This poll format allows your students to submit responses and upvote/downvote each other’s replies.

Auto-delete "True" and "False" when I start changing the multiple choice options.
Every time I create a multiple choice question, it defaults to "True" and "False" in the first two textboxes. This is great when I'm creating a True/False question. However, when I don't want True/False, it would be nice to have these options removed as soon as I click in the "True" textbox. I catch myself thinking, "I have to delete these words myself, really?" each time I create a new multiple choice question. Thanks. Or just create another option for True/False questions that is separate from Multiple Choice questions.
2 votesWe’ve done away with the auto-populated True/False. We’e also added a few other small enhancements when creating polls. Mainly around the cursor ‘focus’ and improving the behavior of the tab key.

Integration with Google Drive
Hey Poll Everywhere!! I absolutely love this product and have used it many times during sessions that I lead with teachers and administrators around the state of Michigan as an ed tech consultant. The issue is that I'm a Google Gal all the way...in fact, I'm even a Google Glass Explorer! Any chance you'll be integrating your services with Google Drive anytime soon so that one could embed polls into Google Presentations? That would be awesome sauce right there.
Cheers!

Typo
Hi there, I really like the concept of your product. Just noticed a typo on your website and thought you might want to know about it. On your pricing plan blurb you state:
"There's a lot of boring reasons for this."
Thought you might want to change it to "There're a lot of boring reasons for this". It makes you look better as it's gramatically correct.

Ability to display hard-coded new lines
Because I use PollEverywhere in my programming course, it is necessary sometimes to include short pieces of code. However, despite appearing to include the newlines when creating the poll, when that same poll actually displays to the screen, the newlines disappear and everything runs together into a paragraph. I'm not sure whether I am doing something wrong, or if something is going on with the tool.
1 voteWell, there are a few tricks. You can add breaklines by using \n (backslash n) to create a new line.
So, to write the following output:
“How cool is this?
Please note: the answer is Ice Cold”You would type this in the title field:
“How cool is this? \n Please note: the answer is Ice Cold”We also support just about any HTML Entity in the title of the poll question if you want to be fancy. This can get you a lot of various mathematical symbols. You can read about them here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_entities.asp

Make entire bar draggable on ranked choice answer
Hello, I used the PollEV.com app for a ranked-choice voting question with 3 answers.
I watched about 10 people try to vote using a first-gen iPad mini device.
Many people tried to drag the questions up/down by tapping and dragging on the answer text. In every case I had to show them to tap on the handle that's on the right side of the answer.
My feedback is to make the entire bar draggable on ranked choice answers, or at least the text of the answer (in addition to the handle).
1 voteHey DJ,
We increased the size of the draggable region about 2x the previous size (actually a bit more). Can you give it a try and let us know how that wen?
