  1. Port WebExtension to Firefox web browser

Firefox is not the most popular browser, but a lot of users still using it. Will be good to have an extension for it too, to not switch always to Chrome to show the presentation.

And Firefox supports the same WebExtensions API as Google Chrome browser, so the porting should not be too hard.

Here is some info about porting: https://extensionworkshop.com/documentation/develop/porting-a-google-chrome-extension/

  2. Allow putting elements over the poll in Google Slides presentation

Now we can put elements over the poll in Google Slides presentation in design mode, but they disappears in the presentation mode. Can you fix this and allow putting the elements over the poll widget?

  3. Allow resize poll area in Google Slides presentation

Now the poll element always fill the full area of the page. Even if I decrease the size of the poll object, it still appears as a full page in the presentation mode, stretching itself to the full screen.

Will be good to match the configured size of the poll area and place the rendered widget only in this area, keeping all other page elements visible.

  4. Add short numeric codes to polls

Now to vote people should type a pretty long alphanumeric url, like "www.pollev.com/alexeykorepov994" in my case.

Will be good to give ability to just open your website (pollev.com) and type a short numeric alias for this poll, eg 155873 - it's much easier to dictate and type, than alphanumeric string.

  5. Display QR code permanently on a poll page

Now we have ability to use QR codes to easier involve the audience, that's great!

But seems it's still not possible to display the QR code together with poll results? We should do a manual click to show the QR, and it will cover the whole poll area, making the interactive result invisible.

So, could you please fix this? Add a new design for the polling results page with a special area for the QR code, that is always visible.

If this is already possible, please describe how to do this.

  6. Display Multiple Choice Results in Slack Thread

Poll Everywhere would be a better experience in Slack if Multiple Choice activity results were displayed in a Thread post - similar to Polly, so users are not redirected to a separate web page outside of Slack.

  7. Fix Bug in Text Wall Display - Creeping Slow Display of Responses

The new visual settings for free text response polls require a choice among text wall, word cloud, and spotlight. Questions created before the change don't have a selection and seem to default to spotlight. Both spotlight and text wall display responses at a creeping slow pace that is unusable. Setting the effect speed to highest makes no difference to this problem. Explicitly selecting text wall or spotlight also doesn't improve the display speed. Please restore something akin to the prior quick display of responses on a text wall as the default!

  8. Reimplement Response Count Display on Instructions Screen/Tab

The ability to display the response counter on the instructions screen/tab seems to have been deprecated, but having this is an important pedagogical tool. Having the counter on the instructions screen specifically is important, because it allows instructors to see this information without displaying answers to the class. The counter remains available on the results screen, but if results are displayed live while students are answering, students will often choose the most popular choice without thinking for themselves, reducing learning. Our instructors value the results counter for a few reasons.
    1) Seeing the number of responses allows them to be…

  9. Add error messages!

I found I was unable to put <b> (the correct answer) as a response and save my competition. While the support team was great and got back to me quickly, there should really be an notification on screen that what I'm trying is not allowed; instead of just having the page not to anything at all when I click save 40 times!

  10. Allow users to copy questions to surveys and competitions

The tool can be easier to use if users can import questions into surveys and competitions. Currently, you can move questions into a folder and then convert the folder into a survey. However, this is limited. Sometimes, instructors want to check students' understanding with individual activities throughout the course. But maybe later they want to check students' understanding with a review activity (a survey or competition). Based on my current understanding, the data will be kept. This can cause confusion and issues with reporting. Thank you!

  11. Fix bug in Powerpoint for Win Plugin

Please fix the bug introduced on Windows 11 in the latest plugin - the "presented" poll is bigger than the slide. You can also simply resize it but that's a ton of work across multiple slide decks that will have to be redone if this is fixed in the next update. You can also follow this workaround for the times you are presenting:
    https://support.polleverywhere.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260801550929-Activities-spilling-off-the-presentation-screen

Neither is a good solution, please fix the bug.

  12. Poll response layout: Increase number of responses on screen by moving the voting "thumbs"

Move voting "thumbs" to side to allow more results on the screen at one time. The current (new) format displays the response as a tile with the "voting thumbs" underneath the response text. This effectively halves the number of responses that can be displayed. Please give the option to have the voting thumbs moved to the same line as a the response or simply revert to the old format which allowed more responses to be displayed at one time.

Hello and thank you for your feedback! I will be taking this back to our team for review. I did want to let you know that there is a there is a scrolling feature that allows you to view more responses, but I will still let our team know about your concerns. Thank you again for your submission!

  13. Save the word cloud!

I read in a recent update that poll everywhere will no longer offer the word cloud visual feature. I use this function quite a bit and would advocate for it to stay. I also use the text wall for other activities and this does not provide the same visual experience. Please keep the word cloud!

Hi there! We are not deprecating Word Cloud. We are going to be deprecating the cluster view which is an optional view in Word Cloud and Open-ended activities. I hope this helps but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@polleverywhere.com. Thank you!

  14. Competition activity must enable multiple responses if you can mark multiple correct answers

Why can you mark multiple answers as correct when participants can't select more than one option? This design unfortunately lead me to need to rewrite several polls in several different places.

  15. Moderation queueing for live Q&A's.

The organization I work for runs a large scale live Q&A each week, and I moderate the questions for the speaker. When working with 30-40 questions to moderate, scrolling back and forth, rereading, and aligning my mouse with the next questions can be tricky while also anticipating when the presenter will finish their answer so I can display the next question. I'd love to be able to identify the next relevant questions, add it to a queue, and have a button that sends the next question forward when ready. This wouldn't have to replace how current moderation is done, but…

  16. Allow upvotes only on individual Q&A activities

Giving presenters the ability to "only allow upvotes" on individual Q&A activities will allow them to make the best decision based on the question prompt and their audience.

Currently, "Only allow upvotes on Q&A activities" is an account-level setting that disables the downvote function on all Q&A activities. The impact is overly broad and limits presenter and participant functionality.

Presenters are in the best position to determine when to disable downvotes based on the context and content of their individual activities.

  17. Allow presenters/sub-users to download the participant list

Individual presenters/sub-users need the ability to export participants registered to them.

The ability to download a list of participants is currently available to the account owner and administrators and includes all registered participants on the entire account.

Adding the ability for sub-users to export a subset of participants will allow them to verify who is (and is not) registered to them and will help them to validate against import files, class rosters, and other membership lists.

  18. Add an option for a moderator to cancel showing repeating FRQ responses

I'm a college student, and my professor uses Poll Everywhere as a way to encourage participation and take attendance. She posts polls throughout the presentation and dedicates a couple of minutes to look at the responses. Because everybody wants to get credit, a lot of responses, which show up chronologically, are one-word, basic and repetitive, whereas the more elaborate responses that take more time to write are never seen. I believe that adding a function that prevents repeating FRQ responses from being shown could be especially valuable for large groups to enable more various opinions to be expressed instead of…

  19. Sort poll responses by last names

I sometimes use poll responses to take attendance, the roster on Canvas is ranked by the last name, it would be very helpful if the poll responses can be sorted by students' last names.

  20. Ability to customize "Custom Report ID" in Registration tab

Ability to customize "Custom Report ID" in Registration tab. It is currently labelled, "Name or Student ID". I would like the ability to modify the label or remove "Student" for use outside education context.

It would look more professional and not repurposed educational tool.
