Add error messages!
I found I was unable to put <b> (the correct answer) as a response and save my competition. While the support team was great and got back to me quickly, there should really be an notification on screen that what I'm trying is not allowed; instead of just having the page not to anything at all when I click save 40 times!

Allow users to copy questions to surveys and competitions
The tool can be easier to use if users can import questions into surveys and competitions. Currently, you can move questions into a folder and then convert the folder into a survey. However, this is limited. Sometimes, instructors want to check students' understanding with individual activities throughout the course. But maybe later they want to check students' understanding with a review activity (a survey or competition). Based on my current understanding, the data will be kept. This can cause confusion and issues with reporting. Thank you!

For multiple choice, there should be a gradebook report option to count multiple correct answers.
For multiple choice, there should be a gradebook report option to actually count multiple correct answers. Currently, if someone chooses any correct answer, they get a point awarded, and if they choose two correct answers, they still just get one point awarded. But it makes more sense to have an option (maybe through a tick-box on the question itself) that multiple correct answers should aggregate scores. So if there are two correct answers, each worth one point, someone who chooses just one should get one point, but someone who chooses both should get two points. (This should also come with…
4 votesHello and thank you for your feedback! We do have some improvements planned in our Product Roadmap for grading. Also, depending on your plan, we do have Weighted Grading available as a beta feature.

Fix bug in Powerpoint for Win Plugin
Please fix the bug introduced on Windows 11 in the latest plugin - the "presented" poll is bigger than the slide. You can also simply resize it but that's a ton of work across multiple slide decks that will have to be redone if this is fixed in the next update. You can also follow this workaround for the times you are presenting:
https://support.polleverywhere.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260801550929-Activities-spilling-off-the-presentation-screenNeither is a good solution, please fix the bug.
3 votesThank you for providing us with this feedback. Our team is aware of the bug and it is on the roadmap to be fixed. In the meantime, we recommend downloading the 3.0.7 version which can be found here.
If you have any further questions or need any additional support please reach out to our Support team at support@polleverywhere.com.

Poll response layout: Increase number of responses on screen by moving the voting "thumbs"
Move voting "thumbs" to side to allow more results on the screen at one time. The current (new) format displays the response as a tile with the "voting thumbs" underneath the response text. This effectively halves the number of responses that can be displayed. Please give the option to have the voting thumbs moved to the same line as a the response or simply revert to the old format which allowed more responses to be displayed at one time.
3 votesHello and thank you for your feedback! I will be taking this back to our team for review. I did want to let you know that there is a there is a scrolling feature that allows you to view more responses, but I will still let our team know about your concerns. Thank you again for your submission!

Automatic DEactivation of final poll question on PowerPoint slide advance, and greater flexibility for automatic deactivation
It would be extremely helpful if there were an option to deactivate a poll question upon advancing to the next non-poll slide in a PowerPoint presentation, without exiting presenter mode. (Currently a poll only deactivates if the next slide is also a poll; that means the final poll is left active if no intentional action is taken.) That way I wouldn't have to remember to manually lock the last poll before moving onto the next (non-poll) slide of my PowerPoint, thus reducing the number of moving parts I have to think about when teaching/presenting. It's an entirely common-sense suggestion, and…
2 votesThank you for your feedback! We do have automatic deactivation in our product roadmap but since it will require a larger update we don't have any kind of timeline at the moment. Thank you again for your submission!

Save the word cloud!
I read in a recent update that poll everywhere will no longer offer the word cloud visual feature. I use this function quite a bit and would advocate for it to stay. I also use the text wall for other activities and this does not provide the same visual experience. Please keep the word cloud!
1 voteHi there! We are not deprecating Word Cloud. We are going to be deprecating the cluster view which is an optional view in Word Cloud and Open-ended activities. I hope this helps but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@polleverywhere.com. Thank you!

Schedule and automate clear responses
It would be super helpful and save time manually clearing responses it if was possible to, in advance, schedule and automate this task. There would need to be a handful of options, but my team would love to be able to do things like:
-Set responses to clear on an annual date/time (e.g., Sept 1 every year)
-Set responses to clear after a certain amount of time from the first response (e.g., 48 hours after first response)
-Set responses to clear after a regular interval (e.g., clear responses every month)
This also would be a useful option to alleviate frustrations…7 votesThank you for your feedback! We don't currently have scheduling for clearing responses in our product roadmap, but we will definitely bring that feedback to our Product team. We do currently offer a bulk clear option so that you can clear the responses of multiple activities at once. Here is a support article that provides more information on how to do that.

Improvements to sharing activities (sharing responses and clearing authority)
My unit specializes in asynchronous online courses, and we are usually using either the "embed code" or "response link" to place a PollEV activity onto a webpage in our LMS. Because we use a team-based course development approach, where an instructional designer often creates the activities and builds the course, but an instructor does the actual teaching, this creates challenges with clearing responses as needed between deliveries. We are not able to have instructors (often teaching for subsequent terms, long after the initial course build) clear responses on the PollEV activities. This creates extra maintenance work for the ID who…

Competition activity must enable multiple responses if you can mark multiple correct answers
Why can you mark multiple answers as correct when participants can't select more than one option? This design unfortunately lead me to need to rewrite several polls in several different places.

Moderation queueing for live Q&A's.
The organization I work for runs a large scale live Q&A each week, and I moderate the questions for the speaker. When working with 30-40 questions to moderate, scrolling back and forth, rereading, and aligning my mouse with the next questions can be tricky while also anticipating when the presenter will finish their answer so I can display the next question. I'd love to be able to identify the next relevant questions, add it to a queue, and have a button that sends the next question forward when ready. This wouldn't have to replace how current moderation is done, but…

Add existing questions to a new competition
I was surprised that the questions for competitions need to be added one by one. Come on folks! We need to be able to call on a library of our existing questions and incorporate those into a competition (then edit them if needs be) - in addition to adding new questions if needs be.
Starting a new competition then adding questions one by one by one isn't great!

Allow presenters/sub-users to download the participant list
Individual presenters/sub-users need the ability to export participants registered to them.
The ability to download a list of participants is currently available to the account owner and administrators and includes all registered participants on the entire account.
Adding the ability for sub-users to export a subset of participants will allow them to verify who is (and is not) registered to them and will help them to validate against import files, class rosters, and other membership lists.

Add an option for a moderator to cancel showing repeating FRQ responses
I'm a college student, and my professor uses Poll Everywhere as a way to encourage participation and take attendance. She posts polls throughout the presentation and dedicates a couple of minutes to look at the responses. Because everybody wants to get credit, a lot of responses, which show up chronologically, are one-word, basic and repetitive, whereas the more elaborate responses that take more time to write are never seen. I believe that adding a function that prevents repeating FRQ responses from being shown could be especially valuable for large groups to enable more various opinions to be expressed instead of…

Sort poll responses by last names
I sometimes use poll responses to take attendance, the roster on Canvas is ranked by the last name, it would be very helpful if the poll responses can be sorted by students' last names.
3 votesHello, thank you for your feedback! My recommendation for this would be to export the Poll Everywhere responses as a CSV, and organize the names in that CSV in the order you would like, then try importing to Canvas.
If this still does not work, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@polleverywhere.com. Thank you again for your submission!

Ability to customize "Custom Report ID" in Registration tab
Ability to customize "Custom Report ID" in Registration tab. It is currently labelled, "Name or Student ID". I would like the ability to modify the label or remove "Student" for use outside education context.
It would look more professional and not repurposed educational tool.

Segmented polls for responses across groups
A colleague described a use case that I think would be great for PollEv but that isn't yet supported. This colleague's goal was to do a "fist of 5" exercise across a large number of participants in a meeting, but to segment that response by teams. For example, someone could select which team they're in and also respond to the question, and the responses could be grouped according to the selection on that question.
Implementation-wise, I think this could be accomplished by allowing someone to add a "segmentation" or "grouping" or similar to an activity's settings for viewing the results,…
7 votesThank you for your feedback! We will definitely look into supporting more robust segmentation as we see more customer interest.

Q & A question type - make 'load new responses' refresh button either more contrast or larger
Currently, I didn't realize there was this 'Load New Responses' button as an audience member on the Q & A question after I submitted my response. See screenshot.
Might be helpful to make it larger or a different color or bolder border around button.

How to tell whether moderation is enabled on an old poll
When I'm preparing a lecture with power point and re-using existing open-ended polls, I want to check whether or not moderation is enabled. To do that, I log into polleverywhere.com, find that poll, select "moderation" (under "configure"), select "open moderation," select "settings," and THEN I can see whether or not moderation is on. There's got to be an easier way.
Since there's already a category "moderation" under the "configure" tab, and it allows us to turn on and off the profanity filter and emoji filter there, it seems it shouldn't be too hard to add a switch that allows us…

Allow reports to be created from subsets of multiple folders OR allow for deletion of individual questions from a report
Currently, one has the option either to create a report from one or more selected folders, OR to create a report from selected questions within a single folder. However, when teaching, it's not always possible to get through all the intended material in a given session, so sometimes a particular class will cover the end of one topic and the beginning of another topic. If one is (reasonably) sorting polling questions into folders by topic, there's a good chance that one will need to generate a report for a particular day that includes some polls from folder A and other…
