I grade my students based on participation and correctness both (1 point for participation, another for correctness). I've been using the weighted grading options to give 2 points to the correct answer and 1 point to the wrong ones, but I wish I could simply set all my polls to automatically always do this.1 vote
Thank you for your feedback! Weighted grading is currently in beta so we’ll take that into consideration.
Currently, placeholder images are not changeable, and if I change the wording of my pollev question after creating a slide, the placeholder image on that slide will be inconsistent with the question shown in the live presentation.
I'd suggest adding a refresh option in the context menu of the image. That is, I'd like to right click the image, select "refresh pollev image" and then the image would refresh to reflect the latest status of the linked pollev question.3 votes
Thank you for your suggestion! We’ll look into this as we see more customer interest.
Because "clear responses" cannot be undone, please add a confirmation button (You've asked to clear responses. Your action cannot be undone. Would you like to continue? <Yes> <No>).
One can too easily hit the wrong button, which is what happened to me and I lost all of my data. This is something that should have already been in place.9 votes
Sorry for that experience. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get that data back for you. It isn’t deleted but it is archived within the Reports feature.
We give that confirmation when clearing responses from the activities list. However, we do not show that confirmation when clearing from the live presentation to make the presentation run more smoothly without extra pop-ups.
Currently you can decide on a left, right, or center placement for your logo next to the title of the activity. You can do this from Visual Settings on the right side of your activity.
1. Open the Title menu
2. Scroll down to Logo and Alignment
3. Select the alignment you prefer
We’re open to investigating what it would take to add more customization. What placements and sizing do you have in mind?
In MCQs, where multiple choices are correct, breakdown of individual choices is given. It would be great if % of the responses for particular combination would be shown.
For eg. if one person voted for A and B choices, and the other person voted for B & C, the breakdown provided is for
A - 50%
It would be nice to have % breakdown of all possible combinations.
(A,B) - 50%
(B,C) - 50%4 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll look into this as we see more customer interest.
This reduces the amount of time having to log in to each user account to adapt to a new url if needed.11 votes
We love the idea and we’d be interested in building this someday for certain premium accounts. We’ll definitely revisit as we see more interest.
This way those who end up last or near the bottom don't feel humiliated.1 vote
Thank you for the feedback. Competitions is our newest activity type so we’re always looking to improve. We’ll consider this as more requests come in.
Getting the audience to log time staps on their device and visualize the average of the group. I would then want to compare to the average audience opinion when shown another video.1 vote
Great idea, we’re always looking for new activity types. Embedding videos is not on our short-term roadmap right now, but we hope to get to it one day.
After "clearing" results for Word Cloud to prepare for next batch of audience responses, I need a way to back to archived version of word cloud and be able to export or download word cloud image.9 votes
Right now we’ll load the screenshot of the Word cloud in an Executive summary report, but we know that is smaller than ideal. We will definitely look into what it would take to add the ability to download larger screenshots of archived Word clouds.
Can you please consider adding the functionality to run reports on multiple runs, AND to tease out data from one archived run that should have been split into two?5 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll consider adding this to our roadmap in the future.
Enable a feature that requires a poller to respond to a question before moving on to the next one.1 vote
We currently don’t have plans to add required questions to a Survey activity. If we hear more requests for it, we’ll consider adding this to our roadmap.
Please allow multiple correct answers from students in a compition mode.
Also students scoring results should be ranked in the MCQ mode please2 votes
Thanks for your suggestion! We’ll look into adding this to Competitions with more customer interest.
Allow branching in the non-live surveys, so there can be follow-up questions posed to only those who respond in a certain way to a question. Thanks!6 votes
This idea has come up before. It would be a large project that will take time for us to complete. We’ll look into it as we get more feedback and interest.
The option for points scoring to be the sum total based on the options a respondee chooses, so when running a report this is a total figure rather than just one of the choices they selected.
For example you have a multiple choice question with 4 possible choices, each choice is worth 25 points and respondees are able to response up to 4 times. If a respondee selects 3 options they them accrue a total of 75 pints etc.7 votes
Thanks for your feedback. We’ll look into what it would take to update our reporting features for questions with multiple correct answers.
Please add the ability to localise/translate the UI easily into other languages than those currently supported. I'm mostly presenting to an Afrikaans audience, using Afrikaans slides, and would therefore also like to have the instructions, etc. in Afrikaans. This of course, also apply to other unsupported languages. Thank you!1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll look into this.
Hi, I see the Chat feature discussion from 2015, but it doesn't fully address my needs. I'd like a CHAT feature in Poll Everywhere (PE) - just like Zoom has. In fact, that's the only reason I use Zoom over PE. The CHAT feature allows webinar participants an opportunity to ask questions, add comments, etc. Please incorporate this to Poll Everywhere. Thank you.1 vote
Thanks! We’ve been looking into this as well and will keep you posted on our progress.
When downloading results on a .csv file in the Pivot view, we lose the vote results from "Brainstorm" template. Can this be brought in as a field? I know the Exec Summary report right now has them but would be great to have this feature on the Pivot too.2 votes
Thanks for your suggestion — we’ll look into this as we see more interest in this feature.
Divide the participants (or let them choose) in groups so they can compete against groups on the leaderboards rather than individually. Similar to the option for this in Turningpoint.
Group based competitiveness is increasingly applied within (higher) education.
Personally I wish to engage with my students playfully without compounding on the individual pressures which fuels the fear of failing, avoiding of risk and the negative aspects of performativity and goal-oriented behaviour which are typically already over-cultivated in (higher) education.7 votes
Thanks for the suggestion, we’ve always been interested in having a group or team Competition feature. As we see more interest, we’ll look into adding it to our roadmap.
Some questions might not be mandatory to answer allowing to skip them and move to the next one14 votes
Thanks for your suggestion! We’ll look into this feature as we see more interest.
In competitions, instead of each correctly answered question automatically being worth 1000 points, this value should be customizable, so questions can be worth 100, 200, 500, etc points.
Also, the option of setting incorrectly answered questions as negative points.15 votes
Thanks for your suggestion. Our current goals are to try to keep Competitions as simple and easy to understand as possible for both the presenter and the audience when it comes to scoring. We have other features in the roadmap for Competitions first but we’ll definitely consider this as interest grows.
