Ipad app
When will there be a "Poll Everywhere" app for ipad?
11 votesTry our iOS App for iPhone and iPad here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/poll-everywhere/id893375312
It’s for more than just participant to respond. You can create polls on-the-fly, activate polls, run and edit poll settings during a presentation, and review the results all on your iPad

Provide a way to Export text responses to .txt or .xls files
For example, I use Poll Everywhere to take attendance by answering some basic question and their name. It would be helpful to be able to export the answers to excel or Word rather than scrolling through them in one of the output formats.
1 voteHi Enoch,
Great news! This is actually already possible. You can download a spreadsheet from the Response History area for the poll question(s) you would like responses for.

Need a competition leaderboard slide
Need a report slide that can show which team is in the lead based on previous answers. It is too awkward creating reports each time to do this.

A way for phrases to be kept together in the word cloud format
I would like to see a way for phrases (ie: peanut butter and jelly) to be kept together in a word cloud. In Wordle.net, for example, using the ~ does this. Perhaps using quotation marks or some other characters could accomplish this. That way, "apple butter" and "peanut butter" do not make the word 'butter' alone any larger.
41 votesThis is now available! Your students may use either an underscore _ or a tilde ~ to combine words for a wordcloud. You can read more about it here:

Hi Sami,
Thanks for using Poll Everywhere!
This is actually possible by using the Edit Multiple feature! Can you try it out and let me know if it’s what you’re looking for?

Make multiple polls live
I would like to be able to make multiple polls live at the same time, so that students can answer for instance 5 questions at once and then we can review them together. Instead of taking on poll at a time.

Vote on locations within a picture
Sometimes, I ask students to look at a picture, say a carbon cycle diagram, and say which element of that picture they consider most important. It would be nice to be able to create multiple-choice questions based on a single picture file, and a set of spatial regions that the users vote by clicking on one of them.
1 voteHello,
Great news! We have added this feature and is a new option when creating polls named clickable images! Take a look at our blog http://blog.polleverywhere.com/introducing-a-new-poll-type-clickable-image-polls-2/ and you can read more about it! Enjoy!

Using Templates
It's frustrating when I want to apply a template to some polls, but not all, after I've created them. I'd love to be able to select a poll for the template and then be able to select either "ALL" polls or just select some of the polls.
1 voteHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you try using our Edit Multiple feature for this? I think it may be what you’re looking for!

How about Multiple Choice Questions where m out of k options can be chosen
In assessments, we often use so called k-prim questions. These are multiple choice questions, where the respondents can tick more than just one answer. Is it possible to construct those in PollEverywhere?
2 votesHi Abraham,
Thanks for reaching out! I just want to double-check we don’t already have this possibility.
Check this out and see if it’s what you’re looking for:

Make taking attendance more effective
I would like to be able to take attendance using Poll Everywhere and see that my students are here or not. Currently, I pull up the report and it shows me who has responded. I'd like to see who in that group has NOT responded, so that I'll instantly know who is absent. It is time consuming to compare the class lists with the attendance poll. I would rather have a full list with all participants (whether they've responded or not.)
8 votesWe can do this with our new Participant feature added to our updated Reporting Suite. The step by step details for taking attendance and using Participant Groups can be found here:
https://polleverywhere.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/685605
Otherwise, the basics are;
1. Have all of your students in Participant Groups based on class
2. set your poll questions to registered participants only
3. run a Gradebook report on all of the polls you are using for attendance
4. To the right of the Gradebook report > select the Participants menu > and chose the participant group (class) that you want to report on. It will include all students who are in this group, but did not responsd -

Setting for Auto-Stop Time
For the auto-stop time option, it would be cool to be able to set the amount of time since the poll was pushed.was the stop time. This way, when I am using it in class, I tell my students, "You have five minutes after I push the poll to your screen to answer the question," and the setting would be automatic after I push!
1 voteHello,
Starting the timer will start the poll and push it automatically. So, if you type in 5 minutes and start the timer, it will behave as you described!

This is out and available for everyone on our paid plans to use. The basics are that if you go to the Participants page you can export selected participant groups OR all the participants on the account to CSV.

Display Total Votes when Showing Percentages
It appears that when one chooses to show percentages instead of votes that the total number of votes is not displayed. It would be helpful if the total votes remained on the the screen for both options (or could be selected as an option). When I display percentages I have no way of knowing how much of my audience has participated in the poll.
6 votesYou can do both! By default the bar graphs for our Multiple Choice Polls should display the Percentage Results for each answer choice. And, you can display the total results count from the Visual Settings Menu (Paintbrush icon on the top right of the poll display)
You can see how in more detail here: https://www.polleverywhere.com/guide#customizing_your_poll

export to text
I have special education students that are required have written material and extra time to work. (Federal law mandates these accommodations.)
This would allow all students to get the same material in a way that means I don't have to do it twice.
1 voteTry using either the “views” menu found to the right when viewing a poll question’s live chart on the website OR the reporting tools to access a text or table view of your question(s).
This should work for what you need and let us know if you have questions!

more language support (in the interface)
I would like for all the onscreen instructions to appear in Spanish. I teach in an immersion program in which students cannot see or hear any English, and there appears to be no way to change the language in the settings so that all the text in the polls changes to something other than English. I'm referring to instructions like "Text a CODE to XXXXX", "Submit reponses at http:...", Total results", etc. All of the interface language should be viewable in the same language as my original text in the poll.
12 votesYou can now change the language support for the instructions on our chart visualization. Here’s how:
1. go to Settings by clicking the top right of the page
2. select the Poll Settings tab
3. choose which language under “What language should my instructions be in?”
4. click SaveThat will update the instructions for all of your existing polls and all newly created polls. You can always change the language in the future as well. If you have any feedback on our translations, just shoot us an email and we’ll see what we can do to make them better!
