  1. Add an option for a moderator to cancel showing repeating FRQ responses

I'm a college student, and my professor uses Poll Everywhere as a way to encourage participation and take attendance. She posts polls throughout the presentation and dedicates a couple of minutes to look at the responses. Because everybody wants to get credit, a lot of responses, which show up chronologically, are one-word, basic and repetitive, whereas the more elaborate responses that take more time to write are never seen. I believe that adding a function that prevents repeating FRQ responses from being shown could be especially valuable for large groups to enable more various opinions to be expressed instead of…

  2. Allow presenters/sub-users to download the participant list

Individual presenters/sub-users need the ability to export participants registered to them.

The ability to download a list of participants is currently available to the account owner and administrators and includes all registered participants on the entire account.

Adding the ability for sub-users to export a subset of participants will allow them to verify who is (and is not) registered to them and will help them to validate against import files, class rosters, and other membership lists.

  3. Display Multiple Choice Results in Slack Thread

Poll Everywhere would be a better experience in Slack if Multiple Choice activity results were displayed in a Thread post - similar to Polly, so users are not redirected to a separate web page outside of Slack.

  4. Add short numeric codes to polls

Now to vote people should type a pretty long alphanumeric url, like "www.pollev.com/alexeykorepov994" in my case.

Will be good to give ability to just open your website (pollev.com) and type a short numeric alias for this poll, eg 155873 - it's much easier to dictate and type, than alphanumeric string.

  5. Allow resize poll area in Google Slides presentation

Now the poll element always fill the full area of the page. Even if I decrease the size of the poll object, it still appears as a full page in the presentation mode, stretching itself to the full screen.

Will be good to match the configured size of the poll area and place the rendered widget only in this area, keeping all other page elements visible.

  6. Allow putting elements over the poll in Google Slides presentation

Now we can put elements over the poll in Google Slides presentation in design mode, but they disappears in the presentation mode. Can you fix this and allow putting the elements over the poll widget?

  7. Port WebExtension to Firefox web browser

Firefox is not the most popular browser, but a lot of users still using it. Will be good to have an extension for it too, to not switch always to Chrome to show the presentation.

And Firefox supports the same WebExtensions API as Google Chrome browser, so the porting should not be too hard.

Here is some info about porting: https://extensionworkshop.com/documentation/develop/porting-a-google-chrome-extension/

  8. Creation of templated polls and quick starts

Since Poll Everywhere are considered polling experts, it would be helpful to people who are not as proficient in poll writing to have a set of common polls available that could be copied/edited. This would be a time saver and value-add for that customer group. Examples might be a sample 360, a customer survey, an fun competition. Some competitors offer this and it's a nice added-value feature to have.

Being able to pull the report for a certain timeframe (not intuitive)
Adding the option to pull the report for a certain timeframe under the report menu , since getting to them by choosing Archive to find them first is not intuitive.

  10. Video integration (ability to play videos alongside questions)

Video integration is useful in a learning application of activities. It creates an enhanced user experience and keeps the Poll Everywhere application competitive with other tools offered.

  11. Performance (score) notifications emailed to participants.

Overall (or % correct) score for a session (day) sent to individual email addresses of participants. In my educational application of PollEv, it would be very helpful since the students must receive feedback on their performance in each assessment AND individual scores can be revealed only to the recipients and not their classmates.

  13. Email notifications on "The poll is running low..."

I want to stop receiving emails entitled "The poll is running low...". I'm well aware of the extent/capacity of my current plan, so redundant automated notifications regarding this issue seem unnecessary.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your feedback! I am sorry to hear that these notifications have caused an inconvenience for you. I will definitely make sure to take this feedback to our team for their review. Thank you again for providing this feedback and please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist in the meantime!

  14. Save original answers to a poll before allowing the participants to change their answers.

When PollEv is used for instructional/assessment purposes, the students are asked to answer a question and, if they answer it incorrectly, it would be very helpful to let them change the answer to the correct one (e.g., following a discussion) while keeping the record of original answers for assessment purposes. Thank you!

  15. Create a new report for measuring class attendance

Poll Everywhere already captures the date and time of a student's response. I'd love a report that shows whether a student responded to poll questions between certain times by date. I envision the report listing student's names, having columns with dates as headings, and showing the percentage of poll questions the student responded to on that date for each student. This would create a simple attendance report and would save significant time for taking attendance in large college classes. I currently use the Gradebook Report, but, since some days I ask one poll question and other days I ask 15,…

Hello and thank you for your submission! Here is a blog post that covers utilizing Poll Everywhere to take classroom attendance, this blog post has a few workarounds that might be able to help. With that being said, please know I did share your feedback with our Product team for their review. Thank you again for reaching out and let us know if there is anything else we can do to help in the meantime.

  16. Please expand the character limitation.

I use Poll Everywhere during clinical medical lectures using question stems that are occasionally lengthy. This is not possible with the existing character limit and there is no other good solution to get around this.

What gives? Just remove the character limit and let us figure out the space issues. So many people have asked for this.

  18. Re the "empty the poll" button

    1. The button for emptying the poll is right next to the one for locking
the poll. When I lock the poll I am usually in a hurry (like in a
class), and I made a mistake hitting the wrong button (and the buttons
look similar enough when the instructor is in a hurry). I think it would
be best for the emptying button to be in a separate place (like at the
bottom where the recycle bin is usually located).

    2. If emptying the poll is undoable (until saved?), that would be a
great feature to have, I think.

  19. Allow group members to copy questions to the entire group of collaborators instead of writing finding each email address one by one.

We have faculty working with a group of TAs. The faculty regularly share a group of questions to TAs and would like to share to all of them by searching for the name of the group rather than searching and adding each group member.

Thanks for the feedback! We are beginning work on a project we hope will address these sorts of collaboration issues. The goal is to allow one person to share a selection of their poll questions with a User Group who will all be able to present, but not edit, those polls.

There’s plenty more to it than that and lots of details, but that is it in a nutshell.

Thanks again for the feedback and stay tuned for more information on that project. We’ll be posting about in the next few months.

  20. Clarify the two uses of the word "group"

Poll Everywhere uses "group" to mean "group" of questions AND "group" of collaborators. This gets confusing. It would be ideal if these features used different names. How about "Team" of collaborators? or something like that.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes. I and Poll Everywhere agree one hundred percent as we regret that naming scheme as well.

We have begun work on a project around Sharing Polls with other presenters and part of this work will involve changes to our User Group feature. This is a large project for us that will be a months yet, but changing the name is part of our current plan.

So, stay tuned! And, we’ll be posting here and looking for beta testers for that in time.

    Thanks again!
