in a classroom quizz, it would be interesting a short Auto Stop timer (for example: 15 seconds), followed by a Manual Start. This is helpful when we can not predict the begining of the question quizz.

For now I'd recommend using an internet countdown timer and then manually stopping the poll. How would you like this to work as a "built-in" feature? Would the timer be displayed in a particular spot? Would you like the poll to stop after the timer expires? Or just indicate the time limit?

We're working on timed polls currently. I can see the benefits of stopping after a set number of responses to. However, it might be some time before this is implemented.

I too would like a poll to automatically stop after a certain number of responses. For example, when breaking students into groups.

A visual timer would be great! I started class this morning but the kids' minds were already outside. A visual timer would remind them to get their answers in quickly, before time runs out.

Good idea! I think automated starting/stopping of polls would be useful in several contexts. I'll put it out there as a potential feature at our next planning meeting!
