email participants scores
I'm using the survey view to administer quizzes. I'd like a way to automatically give each student their personal score. Best would be if in response to submitting the quiz they get their score. But I'd also like a way to set up an email to mail them - if I have to score some open ended questions.
16 votesHi Binyomin,
Thanks for using Poll Everywhere!
This is an interesting idea! It’d certainly be really helpful. I’ve added this to the list of features we’re going to be discussing soon (we have these feature discussions a lot). I’ve attached your email address to it, so when we do implement it, we’ll let you know!
Thanks for the feedback!

more than 250 chars per question
seems an absurd limit. really a problem for my classroom usage. I'd maybe try to use powerpoint, but that facility is buggy, you can never tell how big the slides will turnout on presentation I saw in my testing.
11 votesHi Philip,
Thanks for the feedback! The character limit is due mostly to a lack of screen real estate on the chart view. We limit the number of characters to preserve legibility.
PowerPoint is a good alternative. If you’re experiencing a bug, please email us at support@polleverywhere.com so we can get it sorted out.

Use the new groups option to send poll using account details
I want to be able to create a poll then distribute it to one of my groups electronically, they can respond wherever they are.
This will be extremely useful to setup polls to be responded too for flipped classroom feedback to ensure I can modify the next lesson if necessary, or collect important information over holidays or the weekend.6 votes -

Consecutive grouped polls
When polls are grouped, be able to switch to the next one by clicking a NEXT button, or RANDOM within that group of polls.
11 votesHello, Have you tried using the fullscreen presentation view? This permits poll to poll navigation in the order polls appear in the group. Is this the feature you’re looking for? http://www.polleverywhere.com/user-guide#displaying_polls_for_live_feedback_from_audience

Show participants as they respond
Have two views. A presenter view and an audience view. I would like to leave the response chart up for my students to see while they are answering the question, but I also want to see who has answered and who has not. The way it is now I have to have my account open on two screens. One to run the poll and display out and one to show me which of my registered participants has responded. There is an app called eClicker that does this. It will show who has responded real time, but it lacks the response…
19 votesInteresting idea! so you would show who has responded on the same screen for everyone to see?

Set criteria for correct answers for open-ended responses
I would like to ask my participants "fill-in-the-blanks" questions, for which there is only one right answer, but it seems my only choice is to manually code their responses later as correct or incorrect. What a hassle! Moreover, it's a pity I can't show the poll totals (e.g. 64% said "hablo", 30% said "habla", and 6% said "hable"). Even surveygizmo has a way to report patterns in open-ended responses... I really hope you incorporate this feature soon! Then you truly will be better than the iClicker.

How do you work with Udemy courses? Are there any problems, especially from them?

Pictures from file
It would be nice to edit (re-size, crop, etc) and move an inserted picture when formatting the background of a poll.
9 votesThat’s a great idea! The live polls are going to have a different underlying technology very soon. Once this change is in effect, we’ll be able to better customize things like this. Keep checking back to look for this!

I would like to create a multiple choice question with an option "other, please specify"
For example,
Where do you live?
a) London, Ontario
b) Strathroy, Ontario
c) Woodstock, Ontario
d) Other, please specify
Therefore, I would like to set up a multiple choice AND open ended response in the same question.37 votesThis is currently possible by creating two separate polls and then writing your own instructions (on a slide or handout for example).
Combining two on the same visual chart would be interesting. Any ideas/concepts on what that would look like?

This will be possible in the future, but it may be a while. It’s basically Apple’s decision: Apple doesn’t have any way to embed any live ANYTHING in Keynote for iPad. We switched from Flash to HTML5 so we’re closer, but.. we haven’t cracked this problem yet, and it seems Apple wants to make it impossible.

See realtime results on participants mobile Web Response page
It would be really nice to have a an option to allow participants to see the realtime poll results (on their mobile device) once they have voted.

allow teacher to edit response
if teacher asks for student names and gets some names plus ID numbers, it would be useful to be able to remove the ID.
