Order survey questions
Ability to order questions in Survey View
1 voteThe order of polls in Survey View is determined by the order of the polls in your group. You can re-order your polls by hovering over a poll question, clicking on the “handle” to the left, and dragging your poll to the desired position in the group.

stop timer without advancing automatically to next poll
have a timer that stops a poll from accepting answers but that does not advance to the next poll -- when used in the classroom, then I could have a timed cut off for response, but would still have time to reveal student answers, correct answer, and discuss before manually moving on to the next poll
1 voteGood news, this already exists! You can use the countdown timer explained in detail here: http://www.polleverywhere.com/guide#countdown_timer

"X" for deleting open ended posts
Ability on the instructors end to delete unwanted open-ended posts. In a high school setting it would be nice to have a little "x" in the corner of the though bubbles in case a student writes something inappropriate, it is quickly and easily deleted.
1 voteThis can be done with the moderation feature!

Hide responses by default
Set up the do not show responses by default, and automatically switch to show responses once the poll closes.
1 voteDid you know you can already hide responses by default? Hide responses on one poll, and set that poll as the template for all other polls on the settings page. Voila!

Provide a way to Export text responses to .txt or .xls files
For example, I use Poll Everywhere to take attendance by answering some basic question and their name. It would be helpful to be able to export the answers to excel or Word rather than scrolling through them in one of the output formats.
1 voteHi Enoch,
Great news! This is actually already possible. You can download a spreadsheet from the Response History area for the poll question(s) you would like responses for.

Vote on locations within a picture
Sometimes, I ask students to look at a picture, say a carbon cycle diagram, and say which element of that picture they consider most important. It would be nice to be able to create multiple-choice questions based on a single picture file, and a set of spatial regions that the users vote by clicking on one of them.
1 voteHello,
Great news! We have added this feature and is a new option when creating polls named clickable images! Take a look at our blog http://blog.polleverywhere.com/introducing-a-new-poll-type-clickable-image-polls-2/ and you can read more about it! Enjoy!

Using Templates
It's frustrating when I want to apply a template to some polls, but not all, after I've created them. I'd love to be able to select a poll for the template and then be able to select either "ALL" polls or just select some of the polls.
1 voteHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you try using our Edit Multiple feature for this? I think it may be what you’re looking for!

Setting for Auto-Stop Time
For the auto-stop time option, it would be cool to be able to set the amount of time since the poll was pushed.was the stop time. This way, when I am using it in class, I tell my students, "You have five minutes after I push the poll to your screen to answer the question," and the setting would be automatic after I push!
1 voteHello,
Starting the timer will start the poll and push it automatically. So, if you type in 5 minutes and start the timer, it will behave as you described!

export to text
I have special education students that are required have written material and extra time to work. (Federal law mandates these accommodations.)
This would allow all students to get the same material in a way that means I don't have to do it twice.
1 voteTry using either the “views” menu found to the right when viewing a poll question’s live chart on the website OR the reporting tools to access a text or table view of your question(s).
This should work for what you need and let us know if you have questions!

iPad issue
I am testing your site before sharing it with my students. Each student has an iPad. I want them to use iMessage (the text message app on the iPad) to participate. When I tried to type in the "send to" number, the iPad won't recognize it. I get a "Cannot Send Message This person cannot be reached by iMessage at this time."
How can I use iMessage with this website?

auto-close polls
Sometimes we don't want everyone to see the results fly up on the screen until students have entered their response. There should be a setting where the poll automatically closes based on a certain variable.. perhaps when it has reached a certain number of responses or time after the first response.
1 voteSounds like a great use for “auto-stop” scheduling: http://blog.polleverywhere.com/scheduling-polls/

Allow access to the API
I would like to have access to the API so that I can create custom results displays based on the data from students in my html-based slides.
