Add tags to polls
It would be nice if users could add tags to polls based on topics, subject matter, or organization. For example, if I'm teaching a biology course that's M/W/F this semester but T/TH next semester, I will want to re-arrange my groups to fit the new schedule. Similarly, I might have questions on a particular topic that I use in different classes. If I know that I have a question on "mitosis" but I'm not sure which group or whether that word appears in the question text, if the question was tagged with that term and the term was searchable it would be very helpful.
Additionally, if those tags were searchable by students it would make the response history page much more useful for them as a study too.
Thanks for the feedback! That’s an interesting request. Do you have a preference for using tags over, say, a more hierarchical folder system?
I know there’s been requests for both and they address similar, but different problems. Regardless, thank you for the details feedback! I’ll pass this along to the team

I'm leaning more towards "Tags" because they're more flexible than a hierarchical structure, which really only allows for a poll to be in one place. If I have tags I can label a poll with a specific course and week (example: "bio101wk2") AND for the subject matter if I need to re-use it somewhere else (example: "Mitosis"). I can also tag the question for a different course at the same time ("bio201wk4"). If the structure is hierarchical I really only get one category tree to apply unless I copy the poll.
Lastly, I think having tags that are also searchable by students will make the "response history" a more useful study too. In-class questions tend to be big study tools here, and at the moment the response history isn't easy to use in that regard. However, if I could search my polls by tag (either chapter, lecture, or topic) I could more easily find the relevant in-class questions to study.
