People need to be able to cut n paste the web response
If they can past the response address into their web browser then it is easier for them to respond.

Those codes are meant more for an audience on mobile devices viewing the poll screen from “across the room.”
Your suggestion would be easier for them to respond via the web. However, We have an even easier way to vote from the poll url itself. You simply append a ‘/web’ to the end of the poll url. Try it out: http://www.polleverywhere.com/multiple_choice_polls/MTY4NzgzMTU0NQ/web
