Segmentation reports
Up until recently ( last used Dec 2017) I was able to do poll by poll segmentation reports. I have been told by your support team that this is no longer supported as you have changed to only support a graded answer system. Unfortunately unless I am planning on running a pub quiz type setup this isn’t very helpful in a commercial/conference environment. Segmentation data, or demographics as we know it, can be a really important factor in using polling. Using the polls to breakdown where people are from, what kind of organisation they work for or what size of company they are can be invaluable data. Using a correct answer grading system is not how this would work as the general polls cannot have a ‘correct’ answer but are gathered opinions from the group. Can you please go back to the original option of being able to do reports for ‘segmentation’ poll by poll? As far as I can tell this feature doesn’t impact on your newer ‘graded answer’ system. Up until now I have been very impressed with how poll everywhere lead the way in being able to offer demographic data, sadly it seems you are looking to limit the functionality for event users. In a conference environment there are generally no correct answers, the polls are used to gauge how the audience feels about particular topics, this means that using a correct answer system doesn’t work here as there is not a known answer ever, just opinion. I have been using your system for some years now for my clients and have recently sold the idea of using poll everywhere to a new client. One of your biggest selling points for event organisers was that your system could handle reporting the demographic data, particularly as other online polling companies don’t offer this feature, now it seems neither can you!!
Long-term, we hope to revamp the Segmentation feature entirely. This work would also include creating a new report type for segmentation. However, until then, we don’t have any plans to expand this feature or bring it back because of lack of customer interest.

@davebryson did you attache the quick guide I couldn't see it - any chance you could post again? Also agree- segmentation is great in a live session - but how do you report on it/analyse it/see who the winner is in a team segmentation activity? This seems like a half finished activity. Please add more funcitonality.

I love the segmentation for an end of year revision quiz pitting one cohort against another e./g. Zoology versus Biology versus Human Biology etc. However running a report to show who is winning say about 30 questions in then 60 etc is dicey and complicated to say the least! Need a magic button or way to see who is doing best 1st, 2nd 3rd etc.
Also to try and get colleagues to use poll everywhere in different ways I have created this quick guide for ideas.

You shouldn't only be able to do this with the Summit plan. Fine to require the Summit plan to do segmentation real-time, but you should allow other plans to calculate the segmentation after the fact.
