Thanks for the feedback! We are beginning work on a project we hope will address these sorts of collaboration issues. The goal is to allow one person to share a selection of their poll questions with a User Group who will all be able to present, but not edit, those polls.

There’s plenty more to it than that and lots of details, but that is it in a nutshell.

Thanks again for the feedback and stay tuned for more information on that project. We’ll be posting about in the next few months.

Ah, I understand. Our goal with the Sharing project is to support multiple people to present the same poll simultaneously. For right now, that is not an option and they will interfere with each other. I usually recommend using our Bulk Copy tool to make copies of the questions for each individual presenter.

You can read a bit about our current workaround here:

Well, this is tough. Presenter View is not specifically supported, however we do usually work with it. We do have a workaround setting that we can apply if you are using PowerPoint for Mac. If that’s the case, please contact us at support@polleverywhere.com and we can walk you through our “Force Monitor” feature.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a similar workaround for Windows. I opened a request with our Windows Slideware team to investigate if there’s something we could do as a workaround in the short-term. Otherwise, Microsoft does not have Presenter View available in the API (integration format) that we use. So, for us to fully with Presenter View we’ll need to do some reverse engineering to figure out what kind of math the Microsoft engineers are using here. Which is just tough for us.

I’ll see what the team thinks and try to get another update on…

I would highly recommend anyone that is having display issues in Presenter View to send a support email to our experts at support@polleverywhere.com -> they'll be able to ask some clarifying questions to get to the root of the problem for you all. Normal response time will be within one business day

It is also possible that some of you might be experiencing a DPI issue common with Windows 10. It's a non-standard Windows setting to increase the size of the font on certain monitors.

This setting can be a bit tricky to find, as they seem to rename it with every new iteration of Windows. Here is a good article about how to address this setting in: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/443-dpi-display-size-settings-change.html

You will want the DPI scaling/Text scaling set to 100%.

We have a lot of customization options for how the bar chart (and other visualizations) look on the big screen. Is there any kind of visualization option you had in mind?

These include the sizing of the different chart elements, colors, background image, logo, side-by-side image, and a lot more. You can read about them or watch a vide of how they look here: https://www.polleverywhere.com/guides/presenter/getting-started#customizing-your-poll

Thanks Deborah. I've spoken with our visualization team that works on the charts about this. It should be doable for us to make some changes for the Word Cloud colors. They're working on a new poll type right now, but I've got those word cloud improvements on the slate for us to begin right after - so, long as nothing major comes up

    Thanks for the feedback!

We do offer the ability to customize the body of the invitation email. Just click the “I’d like to customize the invitation message” and our hope was that this would be enough to give context to anyone receiving the message.

I’m hesitant to add an option to override the name of the person sending the invite because we want to have a public audit trail of who on the account invited the new users. For example, an account that has multiple Administrators may want to have some trail of exactly who sent the invite and who to follow up with in case there are issues.

There’s other better ways we can do this, but I don’t want to overcomplicate the invitation process with more settings.

I will have our design team look into setting the invitation as coming from the Organization Name in a prominent place in the email. I…

    Hi Sarah,

Ah, okay I get it. Thanks!

We do plan on allowing the ability to set a default invitation message for an account, essentially you'd be able to save and re-use a custom invite that you've made for the account. Unfortunately, saving these emails templates turned out to be a little more difficult than we thought and we decided to wait until after we see how much people are actually sending custom invites to build it.

If that solution works for you, then that's what I'll bring up to the team and get it back on the roadmap for us. We are actively working on some improvements to our user invitation workflow and this could be a nice feature for that project.

That could be cool and an interesting piece of data for folks. I’m not sure how many people would really be interested though.

Do you think it would work if we only displayed this on the CSV (Excel) download our reports? We have limited space available on the web view and I don’t think we can fit this without sacrificing a lot.

Otherwise, the closest thing we can easily track is the amount of time that has elapsed since the poll was made active until the response was received. This won’t always be accurate because a presenter could activate/deactivate and re-activate a single poll question during a presentation but should generally be accurate.

Would that be enough for y’all?

    "Hi Brian,

I think that for the way our team is envisioning this, it would be perfect if the data was just available in the report. We are testing a new design for our website and want to see how quickly users can find certain items.

Thanks for writing about this so quickly!

    Melanie"

Hi Christina - unfortunately we do not have a way to accept a range of numerical answers right now. We could only accept free text and allow your participants to submit any number of letters OR our Multiple Choice Polls.

It is something we hope to get to in the future, but is still more in the "future dream" phase.

Cool, thanks for the link to the video Matt! It looks like you're interested in syncing the responses from registered participants within Poll Everywhere > with a CRM or similar tool. I'll do some preliminary research on what this might take technically and see if we have anyone else interested in this sort of thing. Thanks for the insight!
