show total votes with percentage view
Offer the ability to show percentages, but also include somewhere on the slide, the 'total # of votes', so that presenter can judge as to how much to continue to push the audience to vote.

You can do this now! Our “show total results” counter is available in our Visual Settings menu (paintbrush icon) on the poll chart. You can see the details for how here: https://www.polleverywhere.com/guide#customizing_your_poll
